This scraps series was created during the Covid-19 stay at home restrictions that began at the end of March, 2020 and is still ongoing in early 2021. These are small collages made from scraps of watercolor and acrylic painted and stamped paper or cloth. Maybe I created one a week…but like the hours, days and weeks during this lockdown…the paintings and the timeframes are foggy and overlapping. WHY SCRAPS? Scrap definitions: Noun: a fragment of something. Verb: fight or to quarrel. We must fight this virus and try not to quarrel too much with one another. The first one reminds me of a Crazy Quilt….. for these crazy times we are living right now.

More scraps— using only scraps of fabric as the base; very small studies.
Over Morocco: A much earlier collage created from the memory of flying to Morocco from our home base in Slovakia—the shapes and colors of the fields and the cities below.
